ON THE DOT privacy
Last updated 10 September 2026
ON THE DOT is a browser game. This page explains the little it stores and why.
What the game stores
- On your device: your settings, scores, achievements and progress, in the browser's local storage. Clearing site data removes them.
- An anonymous account: on first launch the game creates a random account id and secret so your progress can be cloud-saved and so online parties can be ranked. The account holds only the player name you type, your scores and progress, and a rating. It is not linked to an email address, a phone number or any other identity.
- Online parties: while you play with others, your player name, colour and round results are relayed to the other people in the room and to the server that scores the party. Nothing else is sent.
- Today's Dot: your daily score is sent so the game can tell you how you compare with other players that day.
What the game does not do
- No advertising or analytics of its own. On game portals, the portal's own systems apply and are covered by the portal's policy.
- No chat, no messages between players, no collection of personal information.
- No sale or sharing of data with anyone.
Where it lives
The account, save and party services run on Cloudflare in a small database operated by the developer. Data is kept only as long as the account is used.
Your choices
